An Out-of-This-World Holiday
Catering & Design for the 21st Century!
When challenged to produce a holiday event with an outer space theme, the creative team at Joy Wallace eagerly jumped into a futuristic dream world. Using a combination of inspirations from Alien, The Jetsons, and Space Odyssey, fabulous food stations were created to feature innovative culinary presentations. As guests entered our space station, they were mesmerized by 6’ planets floating over the dance floor complete with a circular truss, laser lights and warp speed space projections. This space station was complete with an Alien Pod room, upper deck “Bridge” bar and seating lounge, and fantasy food stations.

 Our Hydroponic Garden Station where guests were invited to enjoy fish tacos topped with fresh greens snipped from the wall. |
 A suspended condiment station constructed inside a metal structure “repair dock” served as the Chicken Skewer & Futuristic Cole Slaw Station. |
 The Jetsons Dessert Room showcased a conveyor belt of desserts and liquid nitrogen ice cream station! |

From “Vacuum Sealed” Burgers to Satellite Ravioli, the food was fit for any sensible space station (even astronauts/space travelers/etc. need a good burger every once in a while)!
This event reminds us: never be limited by your imagination; remember the sky…or rather space, in this case, is the limit!
